Frequently-asked questions

If you have a query to which you cannot find an answer in the relevant section of our website, firstly we would advise checking the FAQs section.

This contains the most common questions we receive, and you may find an answer in there.

Applicants' guide

Our applicants' guide acts as a quick guide to the recruitment process, and is a useful starting place for learning how the PHST recruitment process works.

Applicant guides can be found in the document library, under 'General Information'.

Online helpdesk

Should you be unable to locate an answer to your query, please contact the Physician Specialty Recruitment Office (PSRO) helpdesk via this enquiry form

The PSRO helpdesk is open from 9am to 5 pm every (working) weekday, and we aim to respond to all queries within a maximum of three working days. Where an enquiry is in relation to completing the application form during application windows or where an answer is needed in relation to making decisions on a submitted application, we will prioritise these and try to respond within a shorter time frame where possible.

Our helpdesk will only accept and respond to queries sent via the helpdesk using the link above.

This is firstly so that all queries can be responded to chronologically, ie in the order in which they were received. Using the online helpdesk also allows both candidates and the PSRO team to give clear explanations of queries and have a record of what was said.
